Even if the picture looks sharp when you standing still, as soon as you start moving everything becomes a blur. You can see the differences in screenshots, but big but is happening when you start moving. Link to imgur album with all this screenshots.1080p, TAA, Half sharpening, 1.5 scaling vs.1080p, TAA, Half sharpening, 1.25 scaling vs.1080p, TAA, Half sharpening, 2.0 scaling vs.1080p, TAA, Half sharpening, 1.25 scaling And finally I went the route of increasing the resolution or resolution scale. It made the lines look to sharp and the overall picture didn't looked less blurry. I also tried Nvidia sharpening tool and didn't liked it.Here is comparison between no sharpening and half sharpening. What you want to do is to move it half way. So now moving this slider to the maximum results in very bad looking picture. I will not recommend that, because some time ago the range of the slider was changed to be more wider. You will find many opinions on the Internet to move TAA sharpness slider in the game settings all the way to the right.Next I tried increasing the TAA sharpness in the settings or using Nvidia sharpening tool. Not to mention the FPS drop that comes with using MSAA. But there is some glitches with hair turning black indoors with any form of MSAA. I played some time with this setting and the picture is crystal clear. With MSAAx2 you still can see glitchy hair and leaves on the trees.I started with trying different type of Anti-aliasing.With all this in mind I started to testing different methods of fixing blurry picture on 1080p with TAA enabled. Another opinion is that this game was developed first for 4k resolution and this is why TAA looks blurry on 1080p. I don't have any prove to that, but on the Internet you will find this opinion very often and from my testing I also agree to that. The main form of AA that you need to use in RDR2 is TAA because the game was developed and tested with it always present. Most noticeably hair and beard and also leaves on the trees looks very glitchy without AA. Like most people I noticed blurry picture that comes with enabling TAA. Some time ago, I decided to replay RDR2 and crank up the visuals to the maximum that my system will allow me. I didn't care about blurry picture, I just played the game and loved every minute of it. Then I had Radeon R9 290X video card and the most setting set mostly on 'Medium'. First I want to say that you should not worry to much about settings and getting the best looking game.
